Everything You Need to Know About Realtime Learning

Be prepared to begin your Realtime Learning course on time.

Before you join your Realtime Learning session, please review the Realtime Learning Guide to make sure that you have access to the necessary software and training databases that are required for the course.

All Sage Timberline Enterprise Realtime Learning courses combine instructor demonstrations with participant hands-on activities. The hands-on activities are based on the training databases listed below.

STE Service Specialty Dataset – download this dataset for use in all Sage Timberline Enterprise Realtime Learning courses.

STE Payroll Dataset – download this dataset in addition to the STE Service Specialty dataset if you use Sage Timberline Enterprise Payroll. (Note: The STE Payroll dataset is automatically installed when you install Sage Timberline Enterprise Payroll. Only download this dataset if you deleted the one that was originally installed.)

When you click each dataset to download it, select either Open or Download File, and then save the zip file on your computer. Please be patient during the download as it can take several minutes.

When the download is complete, you must extract the contents of the downloaded file to a directory on the network. The directory must be shared in the folder’s properties.

To access the STE Service Specialty database in Sage Timberline Enterprise, it must be attached in SQL Server and you must be given security permissions to the database..

To use the STE Payroll database, it must be linked to the STE Service Specialty database.

If you need help attaching a training database in SQL Server or associating a payroll database to an accounting database, contact your system administrator or your certified consultant.
